Why do the videos appear choppy or not load at all?

The videos included in the course are being streamed from a source outside of the actual course. Your Internet Connection speed controls how smoothly the videos play on your computer. Please test your Internet Connection speed if you are experiencing the issues below.

Video Starts and Stops Frequently

Likely, the connection speed is low and the video is not loading quickly enough. Press pause on the video player to give the video a chance to load, which will enable you to view the video in its entirety without interruptions.

Video Does Not Load

There can be multiple causes for this problem:

  • Your computer will need unrestricted access to Emtrain video streaming URLs. If these URLs are blocked by a web filter or firewall, the videos will not work until your IT department adds the video URLs to your allowlist.
  • The connection speed is so low that the video cannot load at all. If your Internet Connection Speed is lower that 2 Mbps, you will have difficulty viewing all of the videos in the course. Please turn the videos off, which will enable you to view pictures and transcripts of the videos.
  • Your computer does not have the necessary plugins installed, or the plugins are out of date. Emtrain courses make use of Adobe Flash Player, so you will need to have Flash Player installed on your computer. You can check to see if you have Flash Player installed, and see which version you have installed by visiting http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/. It is recommended to update to the latest version, which is available here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
