Question: Will my progress be saved when I close the course? I don't have time to take the course in one sitting.

Answer: We know your time is valuable, so we designed the course to save your progress as you are taking the course. If you need to exit the course, just click the Save and Exit button. To resume the course from the last page you viewed, just log back into your Learner Portal and click the Finish Course button.


Question: How do I navigate the course?

Answer: You can view all of the navigation features and course options by clicking Here.


Question: I have a question about something that was presented in the course. Can I ask an expert about it?

Answer: Yes, you can use the Ask an Expert feature to ask our experts any questions you might have about what is presented in the course. Your questions and information are never shared with your employer, we keep your questions and information private.


Question: What are the technical requirements for the course?

Question: The videos skip, stutter, or take a long time to load when I try to watch them. What can I do?

Answer: If the videos are loading slowly, or keep pausing to load, then your internet connection may not be fast enough to stream the videos. Close any other websites or applications that may be slowing your internet connection. If you still experience issues, turn the videos off while taking the course to eliminate the problem


Question: Are there options for the hearing impaired?

Answer: Yes, all video scenes are captioned. To turn closed captioning on, hover your mouse cursor over the video player so the controls appear and click the CC button. Captioning will be displayed until you turn the feature off.


Question: I cannot move past the page which asks me to read my company’s workplace policy, how do I move forward?

Answer: Depending on your browser setup, the policy will open in a new browser tab, browser window, or PDF reader.  Once you are done reading the policy document, you can simply return to the tab or window that the course is active in, and continue the course.


Question: I cannot move past the Protected Traits Map exercise, how do I move forward?

Answer: To complete the map exercise, click on the View Protected Traits map, click on the state you are located in and review the list of protected traits. Once you are done, click the X in the top right corner of the map exercise to return to the course.


Question: I reached the end of the 2 hour course with time remaining on the timer, why does it stop counting?

Answer: The timer only counts time that is spent actively participating in the course. The timer will pause after 3 minutes of inactivity, so if the course is left open on the final page, the time will stop after 3 minutes and the 3 minutes is not counted on the timer. To complete the course, actively review previous chapters by watching the videos, reading the text pages, and completing the quizzes.


Question: I finished the course, but it is listed as Incomplete in my Learner Portal. How do I complete the course?

Answer: If the course is listed as Incomplete, then you may have missed a section of the course. Check the table of Contents in the course to see if you have a chapter that is not completed. Incomplete chapters will be listed in grey. If you are taking the 2 hour version of the course with a timer, check to see if any time is remaining on the timer. To complete the 2 hour course, you must view all the chapters of the course and fulfill the time requirement.
