A revision to the Preventing Workplace Harassment 8th edition course was released on 1/1/2018.
For California employers subject to AB 1825, the State of California added to training workplace harassment training requirements in SB 396 which became effective January 1, 2018. SB 396 requires AB 1825 training to include content on sexual orientation and gender identity and expression.
While the original release (Edition 8.1) addressed both topics, and included a Video Workplace Scene on gender identity and expression, Edition 8.2.1 ensures regulatory compliance by adding a new video Workplace Scene on sexual orientation to the 2 hour course version.
Preventing Workplace Harassment 8.2.1 Edition includes the following changes and revisions:
- Chapter added to the 2-hour course version which addresses sexual orientation with a Video Workplace Scene and 2 interactions
- Updated descriptions of “gender,” “gender identity,” and “gender expression”
- This release will replace Edition 8.1 of the course. Administrators do not need to re-assign any previously assigned courses or update any existing Course Tracks.
- SCORM Files will not be automatically updated. An updated SCORM File is available for an additional fee. Please contact your Account Executive for further details.
